We will also be curating and comparing mattresses on sale to make shopping a little easier. As these sales come in we’ll be adding them here with abbreviated mattress reviews.

Best Black Friday Mattress Sales
|Amerisleep AS3||Best mattress of 2019||$1199|
|Zoma Mattress||Best cooling memory foam mattress||$750|
|Amerisleep AS5||Best mattress for heavy sleepers||$1899|
The Amerisleep AS3 is our recommended mattress to save big on this Black Friday weekend because it’s priced affordably and offers a good balance of comfort and support. Amerisleep makes and sells five mattresses all ranging in firmness and tailored towards different sleepers, but their AS3 is their best-seller, as it’s versatile enough to accommodate the majority of sleeping positions.
Starting at the top, every Amerisleep mattress features a soft, breathable cover. This cover helps to keep air moving throughout the mattress so you never have to worry about overheating.
The first layer of the AS3 is 3 inches of proprietary Bio-Pur®, Amerisleep’s plant-based memory foam. Bio-Pur® is eco-friendly, breathable, and responsive, so you stay cool and comfortable all night long without ever feeling “stuck” in the mattress.
Another material that Amerisleep uses in the AS3 is their Affinity transition layer with HIVE® (Harnessing Intelligent Ventilation and Energy). HIVE® uses hundreds of six-sided foam supports, grouped into five comfort zones, to provide targeted relief for specific parts of the body, like the shoulders and lower back.
The final layer of the AS3 is 7 inches of sturdy Bio-Core® to support the layers and sleeper above while preventing sagging. Apart from using sturdy base foams, Amerisleep backs their mattresses with a 20-year warranty to help you get the most for your money. Plus, every Amerisleep mattress comes with a 100-night sleep trial.
The Zoma mattress is a gel-infused memory foam mattress tailored towards athletes, but we like it because it’s designed to help you sleep deeper and wake up feeling more refreshed. If you’re a side sleeper or somebody with frequent aches and pains, this bed may be perfect for you.
The Zoma is medium in firmness, 11 inches tall, and contains three layers: 2 inches of gel-infused memory foam, 2 inches of Reactiv™, and 7 inches of Support+. Within the first layer of foam, Zoma includes their Triangulex™ technology to alleviate pain points and promote healthy posture.
When you lay on the Zoma, the first layer of memory foam contours to your body for immediate comfort while the gels within wick away body heat to keep you at a comfortable temperature. Triangulex™ offers zoned support to prevent sinkage and pressure points. Under your midsection, Triangulex™ is firmer to prevent your hips from sinking, and under your shoulders and hips, Triangulex™ is softer to allow for deep compression and pain relief.
The second layer of Zoma is Reactiv™, a latex-like poly-foam. Reactiv™ gives the bed a bit of bounce and prevents you from ever feeling “stuck” in the mattress. Lastly, Zoma has 7 inches of Support+ to give the bed shape and structural support.
Zoma is an online-only mattress brand, so they offer a 100-night sleep trial with every mattress. Plus, they back their beds with a 10-year warranty.
The Amerisleep AS5 is Amerisleep’s softest mattress, and though it’s soft, it’s still supportive enough to comfortably accommodate sleepers over 250 pounds. It can be challenging to find a soft mattress that’s still supportive, but the AS5 is engineered to be just that.
Amerisleep’s AS5 contains all of the same sleep-promoting layers of their AS3; however, the AS5 contains an extra layer none of Amerisleep’s other mattresses have — Active Flex. All in all, the AS3 contains 3 inches of Bio-Pur®, 2 inches of Active Flex, 2 inches of Affinity with HIVE®, and 7 inches of Bio-Core®.
Active Flex is a responsive, latex-like poly-foam in place to prevent you from sinking too far into the mattress. While the layer of Bio-Pur® cushions and cradles your body, Active Flex sits directly below to keep you in neutral alignment and prevent too much sinkage. Then, the layer with HIVE® reinforces Active Flex to facilitate healthy sleeping positions.
The AS5 is a comfortable mattress for side, back, and sleepers over 250 pounds; however, it’s likely too soft to properly support stomach sleeping.
Like all Amerisleep mattresses, the AS5 comes with a 100-night sleep trial and a 20-year warranty.
If you’re looking for an ultra-soft, cradling mattress, choose Amerisleep’s AS4. We like the Amerisleep AS4 because it contains 4 inches of pressure-relieving Bio-Pur®, allowing for significant (but not too much) sinkage that creates a cloud-like feel.
The Amerisleep AS4 is a comfortable mattress for side and back sleepers, but we suggest stomach sleepers choose something firmer — such as their AS2 described below. The AS4 has three layers and stands 12 inches tall: 4 inches of Bio-Pur®, 1 inch of Affinity with HIVE®, and 7 inches of Bio-Core®.
When you lay on the AS4, the Bio-Pur® will mold to your body and cradle you in the bed, while the thin layer of Affinity with HIVE® relieves pressure and prevents pain. The supportive Bio-Core® reinforces those layers and prevents sagging. Plus, the AS4’s breathable cover works to circulate air, so you won’t feel overheated in all of the foam.
The Amerisleep AS4 comes with a 100-night sleep trial and a 20-year warranty.
Amerisleep’s AS2 mattress is one of their most comfortable mattresses for back and stomach sleepers. It’s medium-firm, so it offers enough support to keep you lifted on the mattress, but it’s still cushioning enough to offer comfort and alleviate pressure points.
The Amerisleep AS2 has a thinner memory foam layer and a thicker Affinity with HIVE® layer to offer more support and less comfort, but still a good amount of both. It’s three layers include 2 inches of Bio-Pur®, 3 inches of Affinity with HIVE®, and 7 inches of Bio-Core®.
Upon laying on the AS2, you’re met with contouring memory foam to relieve tension and prevent pressure points. The layer with HIVE® below allows for deep compression under your shoulders and hips while offering extra support under your head, torso, and feet — which is perfect for both stomach and back sleepers to promote proper posture.
When you buy the AS2 you receive a 100-night sleep trial and a 20-year warranty. Plus, Amerisleep’s mattresses are discounted $200 this Black Friday.
Black Friday Mattress Sales & Cyber Monday: 2019 Trends
Black Friday is a major retail holiday in the U.S. (after Labor Day), always falling on the day after Thanksgiving. These events are a big draw for shopping, and big-ticket items like beds and electronics also see major discounts. Department stores, showrooms, discount stores, and online retailers all participate.
This year, Black Friday takes place on November 23th, with sales extending both the week before and after. Pre Black Friday sales are often seen all through November, while Cyber Monday sales last into the following week online.
When it comes to Black Friday mattress sales, you can expect to see a few consistent trends every year.
Some brands will offer percent or dollar discounts off regular prices. Others that don’t want to discount prices directly offer rebates or free-with-purchase offers, such as free boxsprings or pillows.
Gift cards have been popular in recent years, with several brands offering store or credit gift cards with purchases. Promotional doorbuster mattresses are also common, which are usually mid to low-quality beds offered in limited quantities at low prices. These items are discounted hugely in an attempt to get customers to “bust the door down” in order to get the sale. A retailer may make very little on these items in hopes the customer will purchase something else at the store while they are there.
In 2019, expect to see a large variety of sales, with a focus on the growing specialty hybrid and foam mattress categories. Online Black Friday deals are also increasing with major brands and department stores – meaning you may not even have to get out of your pajamas to save on better sleep!
Don’t forget to bookmark this page and save the link! We will continue adding more sales and offers as they become available throughout November. Keep checking as the sales roll in.

Black Friday Bed Deals: Adjustable Bases
Our recommended adjustable base deal is offered by Amerisleep:
|Adjustable Set||Base Highlights||Discount Price (Queen)
|Amerisleep AS3 + Amerisleep Adjustable Bed||The best price on the most features like massage and 8 USB ports & remote||$3118|
Previous holiday sales in 2019 have seen offers on adjustable beds, which are becoming increasingly popular. These electric bases take the place of foundations and allow users to adjust the angle of the bed’s head and foot. Some also include luxury features like massage or other technologies. They are no longer just for the elderly or infirm!
When buying an adjustable bed, main points to compare include types of motors, range of motion, hand controls and functions, and added comfort/convenience features.
Motors can be AC or DC. AC is generally more powerful, while DC may be quieter. Be sure to pay attention to the base’s weight capacity, which is the maximum weight combined of the mattress and sleepers. Bases will also differ in the range of motion they offer, with those capable of a greater range offering more potential positions.
Controls can be hardwired to the bed or wireless, using radiofrequency or WiFi. A few higher-end models also may have mobile apps for controls. Wall-Hugger means a base stays close to the nightstand when adjusted, while leg heights can be important for use with furniture.
Convenience features can include different programs of massage, preset positions, memory buttons, safety features like battery backup, snore functions, alarm or speaker functions and more.
Not all mattresses are compatible with adjustable frames. If you are buying a mattress for your frame, make sure it will function properly on your particular base. Most retailers should be able to answer your questions in this regard.
Black Friday sales on adjustable beds this year include:
- Amerisleep: Package deal on their signature Amerisleep Adjustable Bed with dual-wave massage, eight USB charging ports, and convenient remote and mobile app operation. Pairs perfectly with the innovative design of their Amerisleep AS3 mattress, and deals start from $2538, with discounts of up to $900 depending on size/model.
- Mattress Firm: Free LP-50 adjustable bed with mattresses over $499 (very simple base with no leg adjustment, limited warranty info).
